First Call / Emergency Monitoring

First Call ® EMERGENCY RESPONSE SYSTEM

The FIRSTCALL emergency response system has become a lifeline to provide peace of mind for many families in the area.  This system has allowed our elderly, physically/mentally handicapped, or ill customers to remain in their homes, alone, when their family members cannot be there.  The system provides peace of mind for the person and their family.

With a touch of a button, an alert is sounded and the unit automatically dials a 1-800 number to Cooperative Response Center.  Within minutes, they open a two way communication with the consumer, assessing the need, and dispatching either 911and/or  contact people (family, friends, neighbors), that were provided when we set the unit up.

We offer two types of systems:

1. The Pers Linear Unit is an emergency system connected directly to your phone jack.  This unit has an waterproof pendant that can be worn as a necklace or on the wrist. Once the pendant is activated, it will dial into CRC dispatch, and open the speaker to provide two- way communication with the consumer. While they are attempting to communicate with the consumer, they are also contacting the responders to alert them that their family member, neighbor, or friend is in need of help. Should they be unable to connect with one of the responders, they will then contact 911 and ask that someone be dispatched to the home to check on them.

2. The Mytrex Cellular Device  is an emergency system connected to the ATT Cellular Network in your area.   This unit is used when no landline is available in the home.

3. The Mobile PERS is a unit for those on the go.  The Mobile PERS does need access to an ATT cellular network so will not work in all areas.  This unit is capable of approximate GPS location of the individual.  Should the individual need help, they would push the transmitter button on the pendant, and the monitoring center will open the two way communication via the pendant. They will assess the situation and if they are unable to hear the person, if the person needs help, will dispatch 911 to the approximate location the GPS is registering.

A one-time activation fee for the PERS or Mobile PERS unit is $35.00.
